BiotechNimes, the result of complementary unions
The BiotechNîmes cluster is a network of actors mobilized around the creation and the development of biotechnologies in Nîmes and its area. It is lead by NRC Technopole and the CEEI of Nîmes and its specialized staff. The staff members will be the privileged advises to help you start your business in the local economic region.
Our target? To give you our support whatever your idea : creation, establishment, development.

Its members are :
- Firms
- Research Centres : (CEA) French atomic energy commission, (INSERM) Institute for medical research, (CNRS) Science Research Council.
- Training Centres : Teaching University of Nîmes, the Faculty of Medicine, Ecole des Mines d'Alès (Engineering School).
- CHU : University Hospital
BiotechNîmes is based on two elements :
- An institutional and economic environment mobilized and characterised by a close collaboration between the different actors, access to premises which suit your requirements, financial networks, the development of the higher education specialized in the high-tech industries.
- A location with is easy to access (at the gater of the Mediterranean and the heart of the Southern European exchanges) a dense communication network (motorway networks, airports and TGV : high-speed train) a climate and a lifestyle in great demand.
The means we have implemented have proved successful : they have permitted us to welcome 17 firms, with a strong potential of development, which have already created more than 450 jobs in the BiotechNîmes cluster.
